Discover Trail Towns Along the Great Allegheny Passage

Have you heard the buzz about the
Great Allegheny Passage? Now connected to the C&O Canal Towpath in Cumberland, MD, the Passage was the first trail named to the “Rail Trail Hall of Fame” in June. And it’s no wonder. Hundreds of thousands of bikers are making the ride each year. We aren’t kidding when we say it will be the “Ride of Your Life.”

All along the trail are “Trail Towns,” small town centers of commerce for bikers, visitors, and residents. The Trail Town Program seeks to connect “trail and town.” Quite simply, we want visitors to enjoy the Trail Towns as part of their adventure, and we want local businesses to benefit from the biking boom. So whether you’re just visiting, a resident, or a busine
ss investor, we hope that you’ll come along for the ride.
